Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In one of my personal Bible studies I found a place where I saw a warning and it caught my attention. The warning goes like this in Deuteronomy 6:12, “Be careful not to forget the Lord who rescued you from slavery in the land of Egypt.” It looks like every time people had everything they wanted they would become complacent, loosing sight of God and falling.
For example Adam lived in a perfect world and had a perfect relationship with God. His needs were met and he had everything, but he fell to Satan’s deception. Likewise Noah and his family survived the flood and were prosperous afterwards and life was easy, but he shamed himself by becoming drunk and cursed his son Ham. David too committed adultery with Bathsheba and had her husband, Uriah, murdered when he was in the midst of prosperity and success.
Today I pray as it says in 3 John 2, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers,” and also warn you not to forget God and encourage you to find contentment in Him alone.
Grace be with you!
Servant of Christ,
